Weight Loss Challenge #3

We’re excited to announce that our third Puhinui Park Weight Loss Challenge is getting ready to kick off on 21 September!

After two previous challenges, we’re bringing it back for another round — a chance to set some goals, build healthier habits, motivate one another and have a bit of friendly competition along the way.

Whether you’ve joined us before or this will be your first time, everyone is welcome. You don’t need to be a fitness fanatic — it’s all about making positive changes at your own pace and having the support of others doing it alongside you.

Challenge starts: 21 September 2026

If you would like to register, please email your full name and address to residentsassociation@puhinuipark.co.nz before 20 September 2026.

Book your inorganic collection

A quick reminder to Puhinui Park residents to make sure you’ve booked your Auckland Council inorganic collection. Collections in our area will be happening between 12 October 2026 – 16 October 2026.

Inorganic collections are not automatic — you need to make a booking for your property to have eligible items collected.

It’s a great opportunity to clear out those unwanted household items that have been taking up space in the garage, shed or cupboards!

Please remember to only put items out once you’ve received your collection instructions, and follow the guidance on where and when to leave them.

Book it, clear it, and help keep Puhinui Park looking tidy!

A look back

Our first Christmas Lights Competition

Last Christmas, Puhinui Park was looking extra magical thanks to all the amazing residents who got involved in our Christmas Lights Competition!

From twinkling lights and colourful displays to homes that went all-out with the Christmas spirit, it was fantastic to see our neighbourhood come alive and whānau out enjoying the displays together.

A huge thank you to everyone who decorated their homes, took part in the competition, voted, or simply headed out for an evening wander to enjoy the lights. It was such a lovely example of the community spirit that makes Puhinui Park special.

And of course, congratulations again to our winners and everyone who helped make our first Christmas Lights Competition such a success!

Here are a few memories from last year’s festivities…

Our community having a say

Constitution update and pet survey

Over the past year, the Puhinui Park Residents Association has been working to ensure our governance remains up to date while continuing to listen to the views of our community.

As part of this work, we reviewed and updated our Association Constitution to align with the changes introduced under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022. This was an important piece of work to ensure our Constitution meets the requirements of the new legislation and provides a clear framework for how our Association operates moving forward.

To support residents through the proposed changes, we also held drop-in information sessions, giving residents the opportunity to learn more about the updates, ask questions and discuss what the changes meant for our Association and community.

We also invited residents to have their say through our Pet Survey, providing another opportunity for our community to share their views and feedback on matters affecting Puhinui Park.

A big thank you to everyone who attended an information session, completed the survey, asked questions or provided feedback.

Your involvement helps us make informed decisions and ensures our community has a voice in the future of Puhinui Park.
